Looking for a rental property in Adelaide? Beware of dealing with Polis Property Developments Pty Ltd. Be particularly cautious of the company manager Mr Bill Haltis, also known as Vasilios Haltis. This ethically challenged Landlord mismanages over 100 properties privately owned by his own family in Adelaide.

His property management is so appalling that the Residential Tenancies Tribunal awarded us, his tenants, $2280.00 in rental credits. In addition the Housing Improvement Branch of the SA Housing Trust declared the property we rented to be “sub standard”. As a result Mr Haltis was ordered to reduce our rent by $90.00 per week. When we put it directly to Mr Haltis, that he was nothing more than a thieving con artist that preys on unsuspecting victims, he replied “That maybe so, but I’m wealthy as a result which makes me smart, unlike you, you are nothing”
Mr Haltis was also forced to comply with orders from the Office of the Technical Regulator due to inappropriate electrical work he had carried out. He had claimed he was a qualified electrician because he had a builders licence. He also engages the services of various labourers to perform electrical works at properties managed by Polis Property Developments. These maintenance crews also claim to be qualified electricians just by association to Mr Haltis and his building licence.
Mr Haltis physically assaulted my partner and my self on several occasions, in one instance upon hearing a disturbance in the back yard, I ran out to find our landlord pushing and shoving my partner. I stepped between them to prevent any harm coming to her. Although my only action was to stand in his way, our landlord turned his attack on me. He knocked me to the ground numerous times, punched me in the face while I was down and smashed me into a trailer.
Mr Haltis took us to district court in an effort to over turn our rental credits awarded by RTT, he failed. At the end of our lease he refused to meet us for handing keys back. Mr Haltis told me to leave keys in his letter box, I declined to do so telling him we required a receipt for keys as he had also refused to complete a property inspection sheet with us and the prospects for getting our bond returned were not looking promising. Mr Haltis closed his office sending his staff home, on the day we needed to hand back keys. We therefore handed the keys in at a police station where we got a receipt for the transaction. We were successful in obtaining our bond back through the RTT.

I know this man, I rented from him just over 2years ago and when I fell behind in my rent by 16 days he demanded I pay him by having sex with him or he would have his boys remove my belongings from the house and make me homeless. I couldn't prove what he said to the RTT so just packed up and did a runner out of fear. This man has no morals what so ever, so be careful please.
Your landlord doesn't have any ethics and is just a money grabbing violent thief, how do I now? I've had dealings with him and his company and found the work far below standard. He got nasty with me when I asked him to do repairs after his TRADESMEN stuffed up an electrical installation. Good luck with your plight.

I thought I had it bad but you poor people must have the landlord from the middle ages. He must have a mental problem to do what he's doing and to think he can get away with it. keep up your fight. Looking forward to seeing the final outcome.
Don't give in to him, stand your ground, because if you give in he'll just continue with others.
Keep up the fight, Men like that should be made public and given a good flogging just like criminals were in the middle ages, If he wants to treat people like a londlord from then, then let the punishment be the same. We hope you get something for all the sh*t he's given.
I had the same kind of man as a landlord in Melbourne and I ended up turning the hose onto him because he kicked my son in the head after pushing him to the ground, my son 13 was only protecting me. The landlord was charged and we had to leave because we were getting terrorised by the man on a weekly basis. Good luck with this bastard.
this must be crap considering all posts are listed only 1 minute apart on the exact same day. obviously a single person is typing multiple posts pretending that they're multiple people
Never use this man as your agent for your rental property.He pockets your rental income ,allows your tenants to virtually live in your property rent free.Then lets them leave without paying for damage and outstanding rent.probably correct what they have put in previous posts.Avoid like the plague,run this man out of town.

It's no crap. They are all real comments from different people at different times. However I did re post them all myself to this blog after closing a previous blog that the post originally appeared on.
